the worst movies to have seen before a road trip

So I'm a big fan of scary movies.  Zombies, vampires, natural disasters, anything that will make me jump I'll usually watch.  There's one particular genre of movies that perhaps wasn't the best for me to have seen before this trip.  I'm talking about the road trip = 2 hours of horror kind of movies.

The following are movies you should NEVER watch if you are going on a cross country road trip:

The Hills Have Eyes - this is by far the scariest movie I've ever seen and if I see hills that resemble the scenery in this movie I might have to hold Christie's hand, also it's supposed to take place in New Mexico (ah no shortcuts for us)

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre -I was pretty scared throughout the drive from Austin to El Paso, and told everyone we weren't making any stops on scarry roads or strange gas stations.

Wrong Turn- the movie that started my interest in roadtrip= scary kind of movies.

Seeing these movies before a road trip was a bad idea.  Atleast I'm pretty confident that if crazy hill people really do exist and try to attack the WITR mobile I've seen hours of how to get away safely. Like never listen to the creepy guy at the run down gas station that tells you about a really great shortcut.  If you're looking for a shortcut to horror then sure.  I'll make sure WITR doesn't make any horror movie mistakes.

Otherwise I'll probably continue to watch scary movies and delight in the idea that I made a cross country road trip without ending up in a horror movie-like situation (crossing my fingers).

If anyone has any good scary movies I should see, let me know.

Don't forget to BOP OBAMA http://www.bop-o-rama.com

It is the weekend gang. I hope you get some rest and keep spreading the word about the on-line poll battle between Bam Bam Obama vs Big Mac McCain! Obama's Bop total is now over 255,000. Big Mac is getting bopped less and is lingering around 155,000. Less is best. Get out your freinds and BOP OBAMA. It's the weekend. As for scary movies if you can find them, a couple of Japanese films UGETSU and KWAIDAN. Very scary.

Coming to Austin again?

What? The idea of President Hillary Clinton wasn't a little horror-filmish already? Hope New Mexico treats y'all well. It was a bummer during the Dem Primaries there -- but good people live there and fed me well. Good Luck!
