Want to hear more?
After making over 2,600 phone calls for State Senator Kirk Schuring, we have finally called it a day. Our calls today were to get a sense of constituents' feelings about Shuring compared to his opponent and also to find out how familiar people are with Shuring at this point in the race. With the marathon of phone calls we have made and doors we have knocked on in the last two weeks, I feel like I've talked to every single person in Ohio.
I'm starting to feel the effects of not having had a day off since we've been here, but it's been more than worth it. Most of the people we've had contact with have been really receptive to whatever points we were trying to get across at the time and were hearteningly supportive of the candidates we've been working for.
Knowing how important Ohio is to the outcome of the presidential election, we've been incredibly fortunate to have had so much time to spend here. I know that all of the hours we've spent on the ground in the Buckeye State have saved campaigns a lot of time and money (precious commodities in politics) and I'm positive that when November rolls around we will see that we really made a difference in Ohio.
